The Surrey Drummers Get on Film

Recently I was approached by a local percussion company called Percussion Play. They are a great, innovative company in Petersfield who create amazing outdoor percussion installations that are delivered all around the world for people to enjoy percussion in various spaces.

They were making a series of films to show off their ensemble percussion designs and they wanted some youngsters to perform pieces that were composed especially for these films.

I was delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to my drum students because it is always great to get them into any performance situation where they will grow and develop as musicians. But this one was especially interesting because they got to perform on the percussion instruments in a green screen situation which was then edited to show them performing in exotic locations.

It was a great day and all of the drum students had a great time. And now they have some fun videos to show their friends.
